Originally opening in 1922, Baltimore Memorial Stadium was home to many professional teams throughout its life. After one of many renovations, the Orioles began to play here in 1944, followed by the Colts in 1947. During the Colts' tenure, the stadium received the nickname The Old Grey Lady of 33rd Street, and the World's Largest Outdoor Insane Asylum. The stadium would later host other teams including the Baltimore Bays and Comets of the NASL, Stallions of the CFL, and the Ravens during their first season.
